a website that was inspired by my love of the beach and my desire to provide a service to other beach lovers.

I have enjoyed the sun and sand from the very first time my mother took me to the Outer Banks. Yes, that is a picture of me at age 17 months playing in the sand at Nags Head, North Carolina. From that moment on and into my teenage years and right on through my adult life, the beach has been my playground. The only time I left the coast was to attend business school at Hardbarger Business College in Raleigh, NC.  I graduated in 1972 and immediately headed back to the coast to get a suntan and get my toes wet once again.

I live in Kill Devil Hills on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  I am a REALTOR and hold a NC Real Estate Brokers license. I have listed and sold real estate for many years. I was a property/rental manager with a well-established rental company for 7 years where I had the opportunity to learn the ins & outs and every aspect of the rental industry. I currently am a property manager for First Flight Rentals. We rent exclusively the First Flight Retreat Condos on the oceanfront in Kill Devil Hills. I feel my expertise and knowledge of the industry and how it works can help property owners promote their rental homes online. I plan to implement many ideas on how to ‘rent’ successfully online instead of relying solely on a management company to book your rental weeks. The services I will offer will benefit both the home owner and the home owner’s guest.

I have been blessed over the years. I have three wonderful children and a grandson named Kyle, and two granddaughters, Kendall born May 2007 and Brooklyn born August 2008.  My oldest daughter, Julie, is a US Marshal for the US Justice Department. My other daughter, Rachel, the mother of my grandson lives here on the Outer Banks and owned & operated Tickled Pink a unique gift shop. She is very talented and still continues to create beautiful art. My son, Jon (Kendall & Brooklyn's Dad) is engaged to Katy Peters. They all live in Kitty Hawk with Katy’s daughter Ali, who is a great older sister for my grand’girls. If Jon’’s not working, you will find him surfing or skim boarding somewhere on the beach. 

Some of the pictures on this site will be of family members and friends. Kyle is a natural beach lover and knows more about crabbing, fishing and surfing than any child his age.  At age 5, his father had him surfing here in Kill Devil Hills.

It is my hope and goal that not only property owners will list on my website and feel confident that I will provide them with the best service I possibly can but that renters will feel secure enough to inquire and rent from those property owners.
