Welcome to
Beach Vacation Rentals by Owner
– a
website that was inspired by my love of the beach and my
desire to provide a service to other beach lovers.
My name is Doris Ann
Younts and I am proud to say that I am a “Carolina
Girl”, born and raised in coastal North Carolina and near
the beautiful beaches of the Outer Banks. |

I have enjoyed the sun and
sand from the very first time my mother took me to the Outer
Banks. Yes, that is a picture of me at age 17 months playing
in the sand at Nags Head, North Carolina. From that moment
on and into my teenage years and right on through my adult
life, the beach has been my playground. The only time I left
the coast was to attend business school at Hardbarger
Business College in Raleigh, NC. I graduated in 1972 and
immediately headed back to the coast to get a suntan and get
my toes wet once again.
I live in Kill Devil Hills on the Outer Banks of North
Carolina. I am a REALTOR and hold a NC Real Estate Brokers
license. I have been listing and selling real estate for the
last 7 years. Prior to that, I was a property/rental manager
with a well-established rental company for 7 years where I
had the opportunity to learn the ins & outs and every aspect
of the rental industry. I feel my expertise and knowledge of
the industry and how it works can help property owners
promote their rental homes online. I plan to implement many
ideas on how to ‘rent’ successfully online instead of
relying solely on a management company to book your rental
weeks. The services I will offer will benefit both the home
owner and the home owner’s guest.
I have been blessed over the years. I have three wonderful
children and a grandson named Kyle, and a granddaughter
named Kendall born May 2007. My oldest
daughter, Julie, lives in Raleigh and works for the US
Marshal Service in the US Justice Department. My other
daughter, Rachel, the mother of my grandson lives here on
the Outer Banks and owns & operates Tickled Pink
a unique gift shop. My son, Jon (Kendall's Dad), also lives and works
here on the beach. If he’s not working, you will find him
surfing or skim boarding somewhere on the beach. |
