HOLDEN BEACH DINING
Holden Beach, North Carolina is an island that is neatly
tucked away in the southern most part of Brunswick
County. Holden Beach is one of five islands that make up
the North Carolina Brunswick Islands and is located only
35 minutes south of Wilmington, NC and 30 minutes north
of Myrtle Beach, SC. Refreshing clean, white sandy
beaches and a year around moderate temperature, cause
this island destination to be very satisfying. Since
Holden Beach faces due south, visitors see the sunrise
and set on the ocean. Bald Head Island and Oak Island,
NC is just to the East, while Ocean Isle Beach, and
Sunset Beach, NC is just to the West. The Intracoastal
Waterway provides Holden Beach with nine miles of calm
water on the island’s north side, which makes it perfect
for boating, skiing and fishing. Whether you bring your
bike, boat, running shoes or flip flops, you are sure to
enjoy yourself. Holden Beach has a total of 2100
permanent and vacation rental homes with the number of
year round residents at nearly 1,000 people. Holden
Beach is a planned, low density island.
